Mods, please, stop overreacting in forums and channels.

I mean, if rules are pretty respected and obeyed, why don't you let people argue about something.
Let people have some freedom while writing, no one will die.
More than 1/3 of threads in General Discussion subforum are locked, moved or deleted; and the other subforums follow the pace too.

Moderators can always rely on the article 3.3 from the Atwar Rules and say some word is a pillory to some player.
Only pillory here is not letting people have some liberty while expressioning in the forums; of course, if that doesn't hardly break the rules.

as for all of this, yes (as 4nic has stated) i am most definitely behind most of this. Ok some may have been mistakes.. that clear chat button is quite strong, stronger than me :S Though, most mods have let a lot slide over the past little bit, and I think its time a lot of the cancerous shitposting comes to an end. It scares away new players away, which is the one thing that we need around here. I'm sorry if you feel bored by the lack of "fun" because you can't make racist remarks or slander others, but that sort of talk is detrimental to the community and scares players from wanting to join the competitive community, and finds them joining scenarios as people there tend to be a lot more fun and nice (i can speak from experience). You never know whose watching, and when new players see slander and foulmouthed language everywhere, they either run cos they dont like the toxicity, or join in on it, creating an even worse cycle. Most online games censor a whole bunch more than atwar does, so if anything you guys should be thankful you do have the freedom to say what you like.

This sort of post is supposed to be locked/archived, however, in the future please take up any problems you have with moderators/admins personally, as is brutally clear in the AtWar rules posted in the stickied topics of the general forum. I'll do my best to leave this unlocked for as long as possible to allow for further discussion into this issue as community feedback is always welcome, but let's try to stay away from flamewarring or shitposting in general so we can engage in civil discourse. Incidents similiar to these you mentioned are enough for ban in some games. I think that after 8 years, it is time to put a stop on trolling and spamming channels with inappropriate comments.

First off we're talking about the moderation on the forum. Idk why you seem to think we're talking about game chat. Almost nobody outside the vets of this game ever visit the forum. We aren't talking about toxicity in the game chat. Croat is talking about threads being locked for pillory even though they are harmless shit flinging threads. Look, plenty of games allow you to trash talk other coalition on the forum.

Secondly, you are dellusional if you think it's the high ranks being toxic. Look at the fucking chat. There are countless low ranks 2-8 who act all edgy and spams racist shit so they look cool. This game is infested with low ranks who have no reputation in the community so they try to build one by being toxic. They obviously can't get good because most players will never be good at atwar. So they think if they spam "nigger" and "jews" a few hundred times, they'll be cool. Almost all chat abuse and help chat abuse comes from these low ranks trying to be relevant.

and yes it is mainly high ranks, i see the chat logs and check the reports on a daily basis, which you don't have access to. Yes there are newer players who do it.. ofc. you're not wrong about that. Though it does seem an overwhelming majority of such language comes from the higher ranks in the community.
