Magic the Gathering

Anyone here play Magic? Just trying to figure out if there's a connection between that and Afterwind, cuz all my friends at school who play this also play Magic... So yeah...

I did when it was still cool, but that was, gawd...10 years ago I think? All I know is I havn't heard the name "Magic the gathering" in a hell of a long time...

Okay, what I forgot to mention in the original post is if you play magic, what deck do you run? Have you gotten top 8 or top 16 in any tourneys with it(excluding FNM)?

THA FUCK???? When I used to play it a long time ago, you just picked random cards and played!

The rules used to be you had to have a deck, and know how to play. I had a dissention deck with that dude in a flying chair thing, and I kicked ass with it. It had a whole shit load of random crap too, so Im guessing they changed the rules? -sigh-

The difference is that apparently competetive Magic has staganted terribly. People abandoned the traditional methods of playing with what deck you made yourself and took up the badge of powergaming. Now every tournament is clogged with 300-700 dollar decks that will wreck anything but a deck deesigned to counter them. Its sad but thats why you dont tourney. Also, yay magic!
