Well il give you a chanche to play netherlands if you can say utrecht correctly

i have checked and i cant
still, i will try my best to form the dutch nation with starting building myself a powerhouse in germany,
then il try to rush colonization, reaching the aztecs and taking them over as they have a TON
of gold, then il wait for my manpower to replenish, ally france or england (depends) and charge burgundy with a shitton of mercaneries

so please, im dutch myself.. let me try to fail as the netherlands

(although i have a pretty carved out plan)

If you want to form netherlands you must chose a dutch country. Holland is the best Dutch country at starting(grand campaing 1399). But it's under Hainaut PU. I mostly move my slider to centralization when I play with holland so some pretender rebels and you can get rid of Hainaut PU. Ofc sliders are no more in EU4 and I don't know when can we start but if you want to form Netherlands you must choose Utrecht, Gelre or Holland. Utrecht is rich but theocracy so est choice is chosing holland.

Eu4 will have a start date of 1444 or something, anywhay i have seen at gameplay exclusive videos holland is not able to be choosen as its taken by burgundy, the only logical option then would be utrecht or gelre, and if you say utrect is a very rich country, well then il play as utrecht, and i wont care if i have to be a bishop, i will actually go protestant ^^ i think that wil give a casus beli on the catholics and a early advantage against the catholic german states,which havent reformed yet

however if holland is chooseable, il choose holland and fund some mercaneries to invade utrecht, then itl just be around the same story

I don't know how national ideas are now but you needed Deus Vult/Unam Sanctam in eu3 to attack other religious groups and burgundy might go mad and kill you :p just saying

il maintain a constant alliance with france or england, depends on who wins the hundred years war, and i know how to do stuff, i played eu3 a lot and i watch it a crapton probably il ally with castille (for its army and its colonizing abilitys) and denmark or sweden (naval and army dominance at the other part of my country)

and if its really needed.. il pay the burgundy a huge sum or something, as i will REALLY focus on trade, as its a dutch national idea

and well, i suppose i could take the mamelukes or the timurids

I like playing with holland, or any OPM because I start from bottom you know, and it's pretty easy manage those countries. I think Learster will choose Brandenburg :D. I'll play with Denmark, Ottoman or Holland idk. Maybe Muscowy to kill Utah?

I would love to play Brandenburg, minor nations are way too boring in multiplayer though. What will you do when you can't fast forward the time and have to wait ages to be able to do something?
Meanwhile the big nations are were the fun is at, as you always have something to do. Taking Austria and pushing for a unified HRE will probably be easier than trying to prop up anything with Brandenburg.

Playing with Brandenburg was fun for me, you can both try to form Germany or HRE. It's the best nation to play with if you want to form Germany because it's a strong country and in North Germany. So it's much more easy to capture cities you need to form Germany and you can form Prussia too! It gives lots of discipline to ur armies. Actually in my Alsace game Teutons formed Prussia I didn't know they could form it

Have a list of people willing to play somewhere on here. I'm of course willing to play, I need a day or two to try out the singleplayer though because I am a history geek and I'm sure you guys are not and will try to conquer everything ;~;

Lol, well, i propose we say our steam username as we can invite eachother via steam, if you dont have steam, get it, its free and its mostly handy

also utah, i will just go historricly, but a holland/utrecht historical will go bad, as i will get taken over ;_; i just want to form the netherlands

I prefer to play as Asia but that's my background preference.

Just play with us as a indian nation or take a OP nation as MING, btw, i would like to play japan, mamelukes, castile, utrecht, poland or burgundy, al these nations are very interesting


for now, im still going with utrecht


EDIT: i forgot to place the Timurids with it.. also a scandinavian nation seems nice

herre is a handy UTC time thingy, it isent GMT, because GMT is affected by daylight saving time, UTC is not, meaning it will always stay stable
