Ecuador has already received International Help from Mexico and Colombia (search teams). Following Media pressure, they'll also receive help from European Countries, trust me.

What's ironic is that the President, Rafael Correa was at the Vatican for a meeting with the Pope I think, was it a punishment of god?

I'm just kidding

Could the lack of off topic threads about the earthquake be for another reason other than the fact that Ecuador is not in western Europe or near the US or the US? Yes. Ecuador is on a fault #RingOfFire just like Japan and many other nations. Earthquakes are a bit expected. Now this expectation does not eliminate the death tools nor the number injured and the lives ruined, but when it is somewhat common and somewhat expected, it does not send as much of a "jolt" to someone as compared to a terrorist act in a country where there are few attacks and one where one can easily connect to.

It's on an active fault and yes it's been years since the last earthquake, it should be expected that one was to come. As for the attacks in Europe, most of those resulted in few people being injured and/or killed. Those attacks aren't going to send a jolt to anyone either because it wasn't a mass murder. Sorry that just because people die in the world it means a thread has to be made about them. Should we make threads about the millions of people who die from starvation? Or one from people dying everyday out of old age? Of course not. Just because people don't make a thread about every terrible incident doesn't mean it should be implied that it is some horrible atrocity that people are not posting a thread in an off topic forum of a gaming site that will accomplish nothing.

Except one is a terrorist attack in a peaceful nation and the other is a natural disaster. There's really very little to say about Ecuador other than "I hope the victims are okay". Don't come at me with such a nonsense comparison.

My argument still stands regardless whenever they caused jolt or not, you've got to admit that there has been terrorist attacks not only in France but in whole Europe. How comes a new terrorist attack causes 'jolt' ? Aren't theses already frequent (hence not new worthy) , which is the same argument that you use to qualify Ecuador's new Earthquake (the last one being 5 years ago) as not new worthy? Are you going to say that Earthquakes in Ecuador happens more frequent than Terrorist attacks in Europe??

To add up to the frequently argument, let's not forget the Charlie Hebbo attack that happened 10 months ago and caused 'jolt'.

Oh don't get me wrong, I do agree with you and International in that aspect. Where was this comment when those threads about Paris were made though??

http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=22860

Since you think this is limited to "off topic forum of a gaming site" let's not forget how even Facebook launched the pray for paris filter.... Where was this for Ecuador?

And just like International commented:

...It's already irritating enough that there are national news programs that dedicate screen-time to heartbreaking stories, cute animals, petty celebrity scandals, and other nonsense that isn't notable or newsworthy in the slightest...

If you react like this about Ecuador, then you should have reacted like this to Paris as well. You either accept both or decline both.

EDIT: I personally don't think that we should make threads about either, but again this thread is rather to criticize the behavior of the players when it happened to paris and now that it happened to Ecuador.

1. France is not a peaceful nation. As you can see in the SS posted there has been several terrorist attacks not only in France but also in whole Europe. The attack to Charlie Hebbo was just 10 months before the November attacks (and a few attempts happened between those).

2. So Terrorist Attacks > Natural Disasters? Have we forget the Hurricane Katrina... Anyway I've no problem as long as you stand on this same view when another hurricane hit the U.S coast.

3. At least you're being more nice to them than to Muslims

yes and you express solidarity only when a nation is attacked by some people who claim to be muslims, but when other people die cuz of other reasons, meh who cares

natural disasters are treated same as terrorist attacks. When a natural disaster hits a western country such as usa or france , uk ect, medias and fake humanitarians such as you are like #Pray4xxx.... but when it hits other countries no one rlly gives a shit

Clovis, it's very sad that people died, but the difference bwteen Ecuador and Paris is Ecuador was a natural disaster, and Paris was a terrorist act.... and Virus and Acquiesce love terrorist attacks because it gives them an excuse to demonize all muslims.

As I've said in previous threads. 300,000 people die every day.

Malaria killed 3,000 people today, but you wont even find it in the news..... atleast Ecuador featured on the bbc news website..
