Seriously, could you people stop teaching people the wrong things? Why on earth would you teach people, that turkey cant win vs ukraine after turn 3? Some of the people are stimulating other people to just only rush? Thats sad man... this game didn't used to be about rush or glitching.

In the years I have played I never heard someone saying you have to destroy ukraine before turn 3 or else you cant win. And believe me I have been in some clans with great players.

It's so lame what happened to the play style of some people, some people only can play PD and stack their capitals, others only make 300 bombers or PD rush in turn 3, and for what? I don't think its for fun, but more for a win? Or show that you can ''win'' vs the opponent.

No offense to Steve Aoki and not attacking Steve Aoki in any way, I am talking in general and used this screenshot as example.
So once again, this isn't a flame war, and it isn't a subject to start a flame war. I just really wonder why people teach others these kind of things.

Aw has alot of training clans and its wrong to tell those new players how to play or else they will never win.

If that's what he wants to believe, let him believe it. Now you will know the next time you play vs him, he will most likely rush your cap. He just gave you his style of play..

I do think though that we need to stop generalizing rushes as always bad.. In some cases, a rush can be a strategic tool used against your opponent. Say for instance if your enemy over expands, and puts his gen stack in a cap where he cant possibly get back, why wouldn't you "rush", or cap that player? Deviate between the players that rush, and the players that don't. If you know their style of play, it is very easy to defend.

I haven't played atwar too long, so I don't know how older players on afterwind would play; so just as everything in life changes, playstyles in atwar will change too. Either teach the people yourself, or use their limited knowledge against them.

Im talking about turn 2/4 rushes? If some1 as turkey or ukraine and his troops/stacks are in west like france/uk, He is asking to get capped, but that isnt rush thats just getting capped. And im not making this thread because its hard to play vs rushers. I made this thread because, rushers join my game 1v1 and try to rush me in turn 3 or 4, forcing me to stop expanding and whatever im doing and just stacking my cap to deffend. Thats not how i'd like to play a single simple europe+ map -.- This is what is annoying about it.

You said my name, this is now personal honey.
I never said that Turkey only way to win vs Ukraine is rush, not to him, not to you, i never had that opinion, never will. Also not sure why are you listening to this guy, but sure, w/e you want.
If we are playing some kind of serious game, CW, some serious 3v3, maybe even a duel, i will probably rush you if i see an opportunity for that. For ex. one my cw vs Buffalo, now no offense to Buffalo Solider and not attacking Buffalo Solider in any way, i am talking in general and he is only an example, it was 2v2, me as ukr, buff as turk, me and ger. And now, Buffalo decided to pick NC. He expanded on italy and went on Hungary i think. Bla bla doesnt matter, lets just say that he wasted a lot of units on west, would pressure Germany and i am pretty sure that as NC Turkey he didnt had a lot of money turn 3. Plus, not so strong defense. So my only option was rush, not only but easiest... (usually my only option is rush cuzz i am idiot but thats for some other time, some other story). So ofc, i rushed and i was called and "Noob rusher". Sure... Then ofc, you for example, you once left our game on turn 2. i think, when i rushed one your country on Balkans. Bla bla, again, doesnt matter.
Lately i am going full retard as far as we are talking about rushing, but honestly, i dont know why are some of ppl acting angry if you dont defend your capital turn 3, in some kind of serious game, and i decide to rush it.

If there is an opportunity im not having a problem with it bro, but if people start a game with already the thoughts of PD rushing in turn 3 thats my problem. If people dont deffend their caps during the game and if people didnt decide to rush from turn 1, i dont really call it rushers.. I am more talking about people that just rush from the start... thats so annoying and its boring to play vs.

From every kind of rush there is a way to defend, and usually to get some advantage from there. So still, not sure why you dont like too much that style. Probably you are not rushed in every game you play.. Just.. defend your cap and you shall we fine.

EDIT: Forget everything, i hate rushing. I mean, when you think about that i understand why you dont like rushing that much. Its stupid thing to do, usually.

I'm glad that you want to play the game for fun, win or lose. But the game is based off the game "Risk" which is a competitive war game. In Atwar, players are ranked according to SP, ELO, ETC; as goes for coalitions. The whole game is based off of its competitive features. You are playing against competitive players whether it be in Duels (whereplayers are competing for a higher ELO) or CWS (where they are competing to be the number one coalition). All in all, I think you should know what you're getting your self into..

On the other hand, If you want to change a persons play style, go off on your own and teach some of the younger players how to play atwar the way you play it. You cant judge how a person plays, and complain if you make no effort in teaching younger players; contradiction much? There are only 2 main training clans in all of atwar.. these clans make the best effort in bringing in young players, and teaching them the game. As to the top competitive clans out there, if you don't like rushers, TEACH instead of hiding knowledge from the rest of atwar.

And I am not telling to change your style of playing. If you like to play that style go ahead, but dont tell others that there is no way to win without rushing or, if some1 says:'' Im not in mood of playing a 3 turns PD rushed game.'' people react with :'' haha you are scared.'' ? And for the record, idk what clan you got in mind about ''training clans.''
And let me ask you something, you do like to play games you know some1 will just PD rush turn 3 and you just cant expand further and just stack your cap to deffend vs the rush and wait for the opponent to leave? You call this a ''gg, or fun game to play''?

Bullshit? If it is bullshit, the whole ranking system wouldnt even exist. Perhaps you don't care about ELO, or ranking, but there are many players on this game that do (hence the competitiveness). Perhaps you have just played the game for so long, it has become old. My advice move on. (aside); Although it does beg the question, why duel at all?
(aside); I was merely stating my opinion in my previous post.
I, myself do not mind. I am still a younger player, and if someone wishes to rush me, well i will do my best to defend said rush. Use skill to determine whether or not they will rush and show off that said skill my making their rush look stupid. But that is just me, and my style.
After all this is an online war game. And I will refrain from involving myself any further in this heated debate. (:

Mate, I respect every player as much is needed. If people want to play rushy go ahead with it, Like i said already 100 times. Just stop infecting others who dont know much about it with it. And give them a chance how they want to play. Just for an example, people who got trained by mauzer 9 of the 10 times play SM rushy, people who will get trained by Learster will prob play MoS, people who will get trained by abdullla will prob play Gw, etc.etc. I think you get the point. And the thing is that I can't defend vs it. But i rather play NOT than just playing to a minumum expansion and stack my caps for avoid dying.

And for the elo and sp and rank things, People are farming to get high ranks to get called ''pro'' , people farm reps to get called 'liked', people are farming elo, to be on the ''wall on of fame'', farming is boring and takes much time to actually get to a point which means nothing. And ofcourse for some people it means ALOT (atleast they think it does)

I just couldn't refrain myself from posting Lol.. It is quite obvious if a player who has a rushy play style teaches another player, they will most likely teach what they know; rushing.
I'd like to refer you to my first post on this thread. Counter balance all of this by teaching your style of play, and hopefully players will catch on. Maybe they will think a non rush playstyle is better suited then a turn 3 rush every game.
Drop knowledge on the atwar community, like my good friend clovis <3 instead of posting heated threads. Discussion is always good, but taking action is even better. You could of spent time posting in depth posts on your style of play in 'Game strategy and tips', and advertising that thread on global channel in game. A lot of players will click that link and find your help useful, I know I would.

Edit: hell if you did that, id recommend you for player of the month! XD

I think most of the players already know the basics of this game, so doing that has no point at all. only repeating something you can also learn from anybody else or in a clan.

I think I already awnsered your question.

And to be honest minus, if you are trying to get a flaming war, you are at the wrong place. So please move on.

bla I am on topic. my point being it is that player's opinion about rushing and nothing else and steve cleared it up very well.

You are being off-topic, all you try to do is trying to get a flame war.
