What's the fun in AW if you're judged for every action [MUST READ] :)

Hello guys, I've recently realized how judgmental the AW community is. Yesterday while Goblin was duelling Clovis , Goblin said something like "Cant i just play the game without getting mocked", and that got me thinking , why are people judged if they pick lets say Sweden or russia NW or russia or RC or anything or they use blitz or any other strat they like, why cant they just have fun? rather than be forced to pick a strat or country they dont enjoy using. I know it may ruin games sometimes or make ur team lose but still it's just a game for us to have fun on, not RL, so why cant we just have fun rather than be so judgmental? and tbh till goblin said that i would get mad at ppl if they pick RC or something, but now i realize that i was wrong. I hope you all agree with me on this and if not plz politely state why not down Oh and tbh ill start trying out new countries in 3v3 and stuff , hope you all also do that.

No you cant do it in a team if you dont ask your team mates because for some people isnt funny when you pick something like RN or anything else but you can do it at a non team game or only if your team mates dont have problem with your pick

Why cant you do it in a team? huh? Just give me 3 decent reasons why. All countries are same at the end, they just need to be played a lot to discover how they are OP and in what ways.

I play both in RNW and sweden well in 3v3s. I'm that guy.

2)because if you do it you will ruin the game
3)because isnt right for others in your team to lase the game from you

one day, I was a rank 7 who was very impressed with the PD turkey rush, and decide to max it. I joined a 3v3 full of pro's ( ranks 11, 10 ) and game was so great that LDK say " I will record this for ANT" and I say " I am trying somenthing new ", so I didnt expand, just trowed all in istanbul... like 55 inf. Then everyone called me noob and left lol. inb4 This game is made for fun, not for judge the other. nobody know if I would had cap kiev in that instance

Last time I saw Russia NW was with Terminal, he did NC Russia NW and no one gave a shit.

#1 - Players can do anything they want. If they start to stalk, harass, etc, then it's a moderator issue.

That being said... I personally feel that the community that is in the main room are rank haters. But it's something you live with, not something that can be moderated.

The problem of those picks is not the country, is the player... there is nothing bad with a rank 11 or a well experienced rank 7 (yes since ranks 7 seems to be more decent that ranks 8 nowadays) in russia nw, rc or sweden... I really like russia-turkey combo vs ukraine. is OP. But we dont really want a rank 7 to pick those picks and tank spam LOL. Specially one that you had never meet before.

Who said he'll spam tanks? if he does he'll barely be able to do 10 or so and eventually he'll learn that's not how you do stuff here, and if he does do that it's his prob cuz he's just making him self lose :p

I think it's something funny to do if you want so, but it's bad in CWs or something like that, as some people really care a lot about these. and something i wanna know, waht is RC? seems to be a country, but i dunno wich one, Republic of congo?

I don't see the problem. Austria, Russia NW, RC or Sweden are strategical picks in 3v3s in my opinion. Those who leave before trying are the ones incapable of thinking about their roles and just keep on repeating the same strategies that someone else (of course) has learnt to master before.

I agree with this, there is nothing wrong with picking non-standard picks in team games if in the right hands, and by unusual i'm talking Hungary or Romania etc, Sweden and RNW are not that unusual. In 1v1 games nobody should be ridiculed for picking anything. In both cases players who don't like it can leave is their choice.

;_; Russia NW is the best EU Naval Pick though! I don't think sweden, denmark, finland, estonia, lativia, byelorussia is bad of an expansion. In fact I'd say it is quite good. Especialy RNW-Kebab combo.

NC spain way better pick for NC. also very competitive. NC france NC uk NC italy are good spots too, but spain better

If your going to play NC not like NC then I guess NC spain is a good pick Being an NC player is more then just using transports

Ya people shouldn't get kicked for picking something slightly unorthodox ,but it isn't worth making a thread about it. Anyways, if someone kicks another player for picking rnw or something then they learned to do the same thing for forever. I guess kicking people for picking rc or something similar depends on the person, if it is a noob who doesn't know ukr is better than rc then ok, but not everyone is a noob. I got kicked for picking rnw when really i was going to get finland,sweden,norway,guthenburg,denmark and poland. I wouldn't say thats bad at all the expansion is just too much to pass on. In some cases picking a non-major country can be better than a major country. IE picking austria or poland when germany is the best player on the opposing team.

The solution is very simple:

1. People should stop being butthurt that other people pick weird stuff
2. People should stop being butthurt that they are kicked and move on

Because of closed minded individuals. Sweden is actually a strong country and can beat Germany.
