How do I change what units spawn as the starting garrisons for towns at the game start? I am making an American Revolution scenario, and I am trying to prevent British units starting out in the American patriot territory and vice versa. Is it just 1 unit selected randomly from the Main Defence category for each town? Thank you in advance.

It's always the 1st unit you create on editor, I don't think you can change that after.

Except if you make 2 secondary defence unit, and delete the first one or disable... it will automatically increment by 1 so.

According to Daisy, only the "secondary defence" units. Leave only the sec./def. unit you want to spawn at the game start.

No, that's still not working. The garrisons are the main defense units, and randomly picked at that.

Then delete all the main/sec. defence units, leave only the sec./def. you want to spawn and attack/building units.

So I can't have main defense units? I try to remove all the main def units and then re-add them, but then it still gets wonky. The militia/secondary defense only spawn in neutral countries while the scenario sides keep getting main defense units, and the American main defense units are the ones spawning in the British territories.

Delete the players and re-add them... That will probably fix it, I hope you haven't added events on your scenario yet.

No, it doesn't fix it. It just defaults to the Continental Infantry, regardless of the fact there is a militia unit available.
