I assume some things would have changed since my last login 681 days ago and so I've been looking around to see what has changed. One of the first changes I noticed is that there is now a premium subscription instead of being able to permanently purchase premium. When was this change made? Is it no longer possible to permanently purchase premium features? I remember back in Afterwind when we were able to purchase individual packages, but if I recall correctly, it was still possible to purchase premium afterward.

Secondly, are there any notable changes to the game itself since that time? Even when I last logged in, it was to work on a map and scenario so I haven't played a game in multiple years.

Lastly, I cannot access the Silverlight editor. I tried the desktop program and tried through my browser (I have the latest version of Silverlight installed on Firefox) to no avail. I can't connect through the desktop client, a message pops up saying "connection error" and the web browser says the same. Is the Silverlight version down for good?

The last time I remember being able to purchase individual packages may have been early 2013 or 14(cant quite remember) it was then replaced with full premium only. You can however chat to an admin about purchasing say 1 of the features for cheaper as not everyone needs the whole load.

The Game itself plays very differently to that of Silverlight & Afterwind, notable changes that I can think of off the top of my head would be they added hotkeys for moving single units so instead of having to drag 3 units out individually to wall a city you can now simply press the number 1 key and it'll automatically put a unit in your hand(it shows what numbers are for what unit in game), flower power was removed so you can no longer surround transports in bombers as enemy units can go straight through them. Turnblocking mechanics are massively bugged out, where as it was always a bit luck based it seems that it's completely fucking random now sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't.

Silverlight officially shut maybe late 2015 or early 2016(cant quite remember) You can still access it through internet Explorer to use the old Silverlight editor to edit old maps as the HTML5 editor is very buggy & you can't edit older maps in it. Note that Silverlight has a tendency to crash but yes it is down for good interms of playing on there.

I'm sure there are other massive changes that I can't quite remember though.

Thank you for the answers!

Even with Internet Explorer, I still can't seem to connect to Silverlight to edit old maps, unless I am doing something incorrectly and need to connect with a different method. I tried again, using the same two methods: first being by clicking "Old Version", to which I am greeted by a page with an error message, "Server disconnected: Connection error", and by going to the maps tab and then clicking edit on old maps, which just tells me to use the old version.

So currently Silverlight is down as Dave has moved the entire AtWar onto new servers, whether he plans to re-connect silverlight or not so we can edit our old maps I do not currently know. If any updates happen I'll DM you bro.

I hope he does re-connect Silverlight, would like to at least put my currently public Silverlight maps into private. Thanks for the help man!
